BRiDGE
A peer-led program created for people living with
hepatitis C for over 12 months

What is BRiDGE and how is it different from other Hepatitis ACT programs?
BRiDGE stands for Building Reconnection into Diagnosis, Guidance and Engagement. The program has been designed for people who have been diagnosed as hepatitis C positive for 12 months or longer.

Our lived experience peers work with you to understand your reasons for not accessing treatment so far. Through these informal conversations, we can develop a treatment plan together that will work for you and your unique circumstances.

How can BRiDGE peers help me?
They provide support throughout your treatment journey. This may include conversations, help getting to appointments and check-ups, assistance with medication costs, food vouchers, or travel costs to the clinic.

BRiDGE is here to help make treatment as accessible and manageable as possible.

Will I be treated with dignity and respect?
Absolutely. Your comfort and experience throughout the treatment journey are important to us.

The BRiDGE team will treat you with dignity and respect and provide care that is free from stigma and judgement. Our peers and medical staff understand that people do not always receive respectful care in medical settings, so we are committed to supporting you in a way that recognises your needs and experiences.
