World Hepatitis Day 2025
About our Campaign
This World Hepatitis Day, we are bringing liver health into focus with a bold, local campaign designed to spark attention and start conversations. Our theme, Good Liver, Good Life, reflects a simple but powerful message: taking care of your liver is key to living well and it starts with awareness, prevention, testing and treatment.
In 2025, we’ve created a vibrant, comic-inspired visual campaign featuring Canberra icons like Telstra Tower and our well-known community mural to help draw attention to hepatitis in a fresh, engaging way. At the heart of it all is our much-loved mascot, O’Liver, who brings approachability, fun and community spirit to a topic that can often be misunderstood or stigmatised.
Through colour, storytelling and real-world connection, our campaign encourages everyone to learn more about hepatitis, understand the importance of testing, and take steps toward better liver health for themselves and their loved ones. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee, spotting green lights across the city or downloading our awareness toolkit, you’re part of a movement to prevent, test and treat hepatitis in our community.

About World Hepatitis Day
World Hepatitis Day, recognised globally each year on 28 July is a key opportunity to raise awareness of viral hepatitis and it’s impact on individuals, families and communities. It is one of only four official global health days recognised by the World Health Organization and serves as a powerful reminder to prioritise liver health, encourage testing, reduce stigma and support access to care and treatment. Each year, the campaign highlights the urgent need for action, while celebrating progress towards the goal of eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030. Whether you are living with hepatitis, supporting someone who is, or simply want to take charge of your health, World Hepatitis Day invites everyone to learn more, get involved and help spread the message.
