Our history
In our journey to support and empower those affected by viral hepatitis, we’ve come a long way. Before our establishment, individuals seeking information about viral hepatitis in our community had to rely on external organisations. Today, we proudly stand as an independent and dedicated ACT hepatitis organisation, working hand in hand with a national network of state/territory hepatitis organisations to reduce the impact of viral hepatitis and promote better liver health outcomes for our community.
With a rich history of service, we were formerly known as the ACT Hepatitis C Council and later as the ACT Hepatitis Resource Centre. Our growth and evolution reflect our unwavering commitment to creating a better future for everyone impacted by viral hepatitis in the ACT.
Located in the heart of Canberra, our office provides a welcoming space for people seeking support, resources, and trusted information. We recognise that liver health is influenced by many factors, we take a community-driven approach that empowers individuals with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their health.
